Animations

Despite the fact they take longer than expected, usually need three times more keyframes than you originally thought and often have scripts that resemble an insomnia cure based on a corporate results brochure… there is something irresistible about seeing your images move!

Project LEO

Project LEO was one of the UK’s most ambitious, wide-ranging and innovative energy trials, seeking to accelerate the UK’s transition to a zero-carbon energy system. And they gave me a LOT of creative freedom to make this animation, which also works as a Rich Picture and as a GIF.

The Mum Test

This animation which brings to life Rob Fitzpatrick’s book from the heady days of 2010’s start up culture made in conjunction with UCL shows what magic a full scale voice studio and a proper actor - in this case the amazing Annie Aldington - can bring to a video.

Future Maker / Taker

Made for the Institute of Clever Stuff this was a quick one shot video made rapidly for Linkedin engagement. This is the directors cut Black and White version and the final images were not rendered by me but the story boarding and even the actual After effect work was. You can see from the other, considerably more professional, animation what the difference an animator can make!
